Dobrina earned a dual bachelor degree in Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and a Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA.

As an immigrant herself, Dobrina has seen and experienced first-hand the real-life impact our immigration laws have on families, communities, and businesses. Dobrina has been a high school student (F-1), college student (F-1 and OPT), and specialty occupation worker (H-1B) and dependent (H-4). She has also experienced first-hand visa denials, uncertain processing times and long waiting periods for visa approvals and green card applications.

Practice Areas

Dobrina’s practice is limited solely to immigration and nationality law. This includes: Employment-based EB-1, EB-2, EB-2 National Interest Waiver, EB-3 immigrant visas, PERM, TN, H-1B specialty occupation, L-1A and L-1B intercompany transfer, O and P visas for individuals with extraordinary ability, Violence Against Women (VAWA) petitions, U-visas, E-1 and E-2 treaty investor visas, EB-5 investor visas, and worksite immigration compliance.

In addition, Dobrina represents clients seeking I-601 waivers of inadmissibility before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and U.S. State Department.

Putting First-Hand Experience to Work for You

Dobrina is among a few immigration lawyers who have had first-hand experience, both from the Employer and Foreign National/Employee perspective. She gained this experience while working as an in-house immigration attorney for Infosys Limited, one of the largest consulting companies in the U.S. and around the world.

While at Infosys, Dobrina was responsible for reviewing and processing high-volume H-1B specialty occupation visas, H-1B third-party placements, request for further evidence (RFE), and notices of intent to revoke and deny (NOIR and NOID). In addition, Dobrina managed Infosys’ Fraud Detection and National Security (FDNS) program by working directly with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officers and representatives.

After Infosys Limited, Dobrina joined a healthcare-based software company in Dallas, TX, where she managed the company’s immigration program. While at the company, Dobrina processed numerous H-1Bs, Green Cards, and designed an effective LCA Public Access File.

Gardere Carter is an experienced immigration attorney practicing in Dallas, Texas. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC and a Juris Doctorate from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.

After earning admittance into the Louisiana Bar, Gardere began practicing immigration law extensively. He has represented hundreds of clients in removal proceedings in immigration courts across the country. In addition, Gardere’s immigration practice includes family immigration and employment-based applications before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Jesus is a paralegal with many years of experience in the Immigration Law Field. Having been an immigrant himself, he knows the struggles and processes by which immigrants must go through in order to obtain legal status.

Jesus entered the US at the age of 8 years old through the consular process. Later, at the age of 16, his mother became a US Citizen, and therefore, Jesus acquired citizenship for himself. Jesus graduated from W. H. Adamson High School in Dallas, TX in May of 2001. Immediately he entered the legal world as a receptionist and soon learned immigration law. Having working with many great immigration law firms, Jesus has obtained a great amount of knowledge on Immigration law and procedure. Jesus continues to learn and update his knowledge in Immigration law field as the laws change.
